Tonight, while the twins, Julia and I were squished on the bed watching Scooby Doo:

Bradley: Hannah, remember Grandma Oka died?

Me: Yeah, buddy, I remember.

Bradley: Does that make you sad?

Me: Yeah, it makes me sad.

Laney: Why does it make you sad?

Me: It makes me sad 'cause I miss her.

Laney: I wish she coulda made me a blanket.

Me: Yeah, she made lots of blankets. Do you guys miss Grandma, too?

Bradley: Yeah. And when we go to her house she isn't there. So we call it Mitsie's house.

Laney: Yeah, but we can still call it Grandma's house, too.

Sigh. Oh, to be young and free and innocent...
